As it is very easy to align a table in word as compare to make in HTML, so Microsoft product ‘word’ gives a chance to web designer/developer to convert word table to HTML. Most of the time, whenever i need to create a table in html, Microsoft word is one of the choice that i prefer. Here are the steps:
How to convert word table to html
1.) Create a table in word. To create a table in word, open Microsoft word and click on insert tab, and then table. Choose the number of columns or rows that appear on clicking table button, as indicated in the image below.
2.) Fill in the table with the content as desired, and adjust the rows and columns height and width as it can be easily adjusted by just clicking and dragging.
3.) Save the file. Wait, Save file it as web page. (Open file menu, select save as and then ‘other formats’, write file name and under Save as Type: drop down box, select web page.)
4.) Close the Microsoft word file. This file will be saved with .htm format. You can open it with any web browser. (Right click on the file and select open with ->Internet explorer[or with any browser that you want])
5.) To go through the html code of the table you recently created with word, open file with notepad or word-pad or any text file editor.
Note: The html code contains not only embed <table> tag in, but also style script for design.
